A business can have customers, ideas and useful tools, yet still lose time in everyday operations. Information stays with a few people, teams hand work over without a clear process and every important decision reaches the founder. That kind of friction slows growth.
In his masterclass, Less Chaos, More Growth, Larbi Ben Ahmed asks leaders to see their company as a set of systems. AI can help one person work faster. It does not, by itself, fix the gaps between teams, tools and responsibilities.
Start by defining the result you need. Then map the real work: where it starts, which decisions are made, where handoffs happen and what marks a completed result. A process map exposes delays, repeated work and missing information. It should come before a standard operating procedure. An SOP is valuable once the team understands the process, not when it simply documents a flawed habit.
Larbi Ben Ahmed frames the work through five actions: design, map, document, connect and improve. Documentation keeps know-how from living in one person’s head. Connection makes information move between teams and tools. Improvement means measuring the work, listening to the people doing it and refining the process.
The founder’s role must change as the company grows. Early on, one person may act as entrepreneur, manager and technician at the same time. Later, the founder must set direction, organise ownership and let the team move work forward without waiting for approval on every detail.
Automation comes after clarity. It works best when a defined event triggers a defined action. AI or an agent can analyse, suggest and coordinate, but the company still needs clear data sources, limits on decisions and human validation where risk is higher.
Choose a first process that is frequent, important to the business, owned by someone and safe enough to test. Observe it, simplify it, try a better version and measure what changes. A company can grow with more confidence when work is visible, shared and easy to improve.
