The Wilaya of Annaba launched today, Sunday, the first operation for transporting empty containers by train, starting from the storage area of 'Lalaïq' towards the Port of Annaba. This initiative aims to enhance the performance of port facilities and improve their operational efficiency, in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Interior and Local Communities and the Minister of Transport, Mr. Saïd Sayoud. Béjaïa Port has set a new record in handling bulk cargo, unloading 15,153.60 tons of corn within 24 hours, in an operation conducted directly from the ship to the trucks, according to the Béjaïa Port Authority (EPB).
