The two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of hydrocarbons and mining, especially regarding oil and gas production. Additionally, they discussed updates on SONATRACH's exploration and research project at the Kafra oil field in northern Niger, and ways to enhance coordination, especially between SONATRACH and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation 'SONIDEP', to ensure the achievement of the common goals of both parties.
