The Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, Mohamed Arqab, was received today, Monday, January 26, in the capital Niamey, by the Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Niger, Ali Mohamed Al-Amin Zain, according to a statement from the Ministry of Hydrocarbons. The two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of hydrocarbons and mining, especially regarding oil and gas production. Additionally, they discussed updates on SONATRACH's exploration and research project at the Kafra oil field in northern Niger, and ways to enhance coordination, especially between SONATRACH and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation 'SONIDEP', to ensure the achievement of the common goals of both parties.

Algeria and Saudi Arabia explored ways to develop financial markets and enhance innovation and financial services during meetings that brought together stakeholders in the Algerian financial market and representatives from the Saudi Financial Market Authority, as part of the work of the Trade and Economy Committee stemming from the Algerian-Saudi High Coordination Council.
