The Agricultural and Rural Development Bank is preparing to launch new Islamic financing formulas aimed at the agricultural sector, as part of a program to develop Islamic banking products in Algeria. Finance Minister Abdel Karim Bouzerd, in a written response to Tahar Ben Ali, a member of the National People's Assembly, explained that these formulas include the products “Challenge Companion” and “Cooling”, which have been approved by the bank's Sharia Council to ensure their compliance with Islamic law. These products will be gradually introduced after completing all legal, regulatory, and technical procedures, and obtaining approvals from the relevant authorities.
