Experts believe that the project is coming to fruition today thanks to the convergence of several factors, the most prominent of which are political will, legislative reform that made the project financeable, technical maturity in processing and mineral enrichment, connecting the mine with local processing chains, and logistical planning through heavy rail, in addition to reducing transportation costs.

Algeria and Saudi Arabia explored ways to develop financial markets and enhance innovation and financial services during meetings that brought together stakeholders in the Algerian financial market and representatives from the Saudi Financial Market Authority, as part of the work of the Trade and Economy Committee stemming from the Algerian-Saudi High Coordination Council.
