Algeria is nearing the completion of the achievement and is about to enter the operational phase of the Gara Djebilet project, while the high authorities are preparing, in implementation of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune's commitment before the two chambers of parliament, to inaugurate the railway line linking Béchar and Tindouf in its entirety shortly after the completion of the works, signaling the commissioning of the western mining line. Experts believe that the project is coming to fruition today thanks to the convergence of several factors, the most prominent of which are political will, legislative reform that made the project financeable, technical maturity in processing and mineral enrichment, connecting the mine with local processing chains, and logistical planning through heavy rail, in addition to reducing transportation costs.
