The German car and engine manufacturer Opel announced that Algeria has been chosen as the site for launching its first production unit outside Europe, in a strategic move to enhance its presence in the Middle East and Africa and support its sustainable and regional growth. Florian Hutzler, the CEO of the brand, revealed in a post on his official LinkedIn account that Algeria has been a focal point for the company over the past two years, and that ongoing partnerships with local stakeholders have resulted in the decision to establish a production unit designed to serve the Algerian market and complement Opel's established European manufacturing network.
