Oil: Brent crude rises to $62.43 per barrel

Oil prices rose this Friday for the second consecutive day and are heading for a third weekly gain. Brent crude futures increased by 44 cents or 0.71 percent to $62.43 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate crude rose by 39 cents or 0.68 percent to $58.15. Both benchmark crudes jumped by more than 3 percent yesterday, after two consecutive days of declines. Brent is set to rise 2.7 percent for the week, while West Texas Intermediate is on track for a 1.4 percent increase for the week.
