Jalawi on a field visit to monitor the Eastern Mining Line works and the expansion of Annaba Port

The Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Abdelkader Jalawi, began a work and inspection visit on February 14 and 15, 2026, to assess the progress of the Eastern Mining Line Annaba–Blad El Hadba (Tebessa), which extends over a distance of 422 kilometers, in addition to monitoring the expansion project of the phosphate port of Annaba and the construction of the mining dock included in the integrated phosphate project (P.P.I). This is part of the follow-up to strategic projects in the sector related to infrastructure. The visit includes on-site inspections of various sections of the mining line being constructed across the provinces of Tebessa, Souk Ahras, Guelma, El Tarf, and Annaba, with the aim of evaluating the pace of work and monitoring its progress, given the importance of the project in supporting infrastructure.
