The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mehdi Yassine Walid, announced that his ministerial body has completed the preparation of a new law project specific to livestock breeding in Algeria, taking into account various developments related to this sector, such as livestock feeding, electronic identification of the herd and tracking its path, in addition to criminalizing the slaughter of females. In a speech before the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee of the National People's Assembly today, Sunday, Yassine Walid revealed preparations being made by his ministerial body that include the establishment of units for the production of poultry mothers in Algeria in partnership with foreign operators, along with launching a program to develop local poultry genes, with the aim of eliminating imports and increasing national production capacities.
