Research on Integrating Taxi Drivers into the Self-Employment System

The Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Small Enterprises, Nourredine Wahid, discussed with representatives of the National Union of Taxi Drivers (SNTT_UGTA) the mechanisms for integrating taxi drivers into the self-employment category, allowing them to benefit from advantages including tax reductions and improved social security systems, alongside studying the preparation of a basic law regulating the profession. These discussions took place during a meeting also dedicated to exploring the prospects of digitizing public service in the taxi sector and keeping pace with technological developments, in line with state policy and the directives of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune aimed at modernizing the sector and enhancing digital transformation.
