The National Union of Taxi Drivers (SNTT) demanded on Thursday that the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-Enterprises activate the specialized committee to study the integration of taxi drivers into the self-employment system, following a previous meeting with Minister Nourredine Ouadih on February 10, 2026. The union clarified in a statement that a significant number of professionals in the sector have submitted requests to add a new activity through the platform of the National Agency for Self-Employment, confirming their desire to regularize their legal status within an organized and clear framework, especially since this group is currently not classified under any official category, whether in the commercial register or artisan card, creating a regulatory void that requires addressing.
