Mobilizing more than 55,000 merchants to ensure continuity during Eid al-Fitr

The Ministry of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation announced the implementation of a special program to ensure regular supply of consumer goods and services to citizens during the Eid al-Fitr holiday of 2026, by mobilizing 55,743 merchants across the national territory. The Algerian public television reported from the ministry that the program includes 2,865 monitoring agents to follow up on the implementation of continuity, distributed across various sectors, including 6,617 merchants in the bakery sector, 30,538 merchants in food, vegetables, and fruits, and 18,042 merchants in various sectors, in addition to 546 production units including 154 dairies, 345 mills, and 47 bottled water production units.
