The holding company 'Gitex', specialized in textile and leather industries, is working on developing the footwear and leather branch through a series of projects, including the launch of new production units and the revival of others, as part of a comprehensive investment plan aimed at increasing the production capacity of the public group while diversifying products to raise the share of local products in the national market, according to what was stated by the CEO of the group, Tawfiq Barkani. Barkani explained, in a statement to 'APS', that this involves implementing an investment program that includes launching a new production line for sports shoes and leisure shoes at the Akbou and Nqaous units to contribute to enhancing national footwear production and improving the competitiveness of the company's products.
