Algeria is moving to accelerate the digitization process in the tourism sector with the aim of improving the investment climate, reducing approval and classification timelines and procedures, and enhancing the quality of services provided to citizens and investors. This is part of a strategy targeting the digitization of various transactions and administrative pathways related to the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts and its provincial directorates. The Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Houria Medahi, chaired a coordination meeting dedicated to assessing the progress of the digitization process in the sector, attended by ministry officials, where she reiterated the importance of accelerating digital transformation and modernizing administrative management, in implementation of the directives of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune regarding bringing public services closer to citizens.

The Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industry, Houria Medahli, chaired a coordination meeting dedicated to evaluating the progress of digitalization in the sector, in line with ongoing efforts to improve the investment climate in Algeria, according to a statement from the ministry. During this meeting, which took place on Thursday with the presence of sector officials, Medahli recalled the 'high directives of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, regarding the acceleration of digital transformation, modernization of administrative management, bringing public services closer to citizens and investors, and achieving a qualitative leap in administrative work methods and enhancing the quality of tourism services.'
