Significant Increase in Female Entrepreneurs Over the Last 7 Years

Recent statistics from the National Center for Commercial Registry, released on Saturday, show a remarkable increase in the number of female entrepreneurs in Algeria. A jump of about 37 percent was observed compared to the end of 2019, reflecting a notable growth in women's entrepreneurship. As of early March, the number of female entrepreneurs reached 218,486, up from approximately 159,807 seven years ago. This number is distributed among 194,443 registered as natural persons and 24,043 as legal entities (managed institutions).
