The Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries announced that the process of importing sacrificial animals will witness an accelerated pace starting next week, continuing until May 20, 2026, to complete the total quantity contracted from Spain, Romania, Brazil, and Uruguay, as part of ensuring the supply of sacrificial animals to the national market in preparation for Eid al-Adha. The ministry confirmed, in a statement, that it has mobilized all necessary logistical means at the ports to ensure the reception of the sacrificial animals in the best conditions, where specialized veterinary services are present to carry out the second health inspection after that conducted in the country of origin, before transporting them via dedicated trucks to quarantine areas.
