Dr. and economic analyst Ahmed Al-Haidousi praised the significance of Labor Day and considered it an opportunity to renew the government's recognition of the pivotal role played by the Algerian worker in achieving growth rates and the economic revival of Algeria. He added that Algeria today counts more than 12 million Algerian workers contributing to nation-building and striving for self-sufficiency in various sectors. Al-Haidousi regarded the agriculture sector as one of the most important sectors that has successfully faced challenges thanks to the Algerian farmer, contributing more than 25 billion dollars and accounting for 15 percent of the gross output.
