The date production in the Wilaya of Ouargla during the agricultural season 2025-2026 reached a total of 920,142 quintals, marking an increase compared to the previous season. According to Fatihah Boubakri, head of the production organization and technical support department at the Directorate of Agricultural Services, in a statement to Algerian Radio, the achieved production was distributed between 377,154 quintals of 'Deglet Nour' dates, 424,606 quintals of 'Gharas', in addition to 10,462 quintals of 'Dakhla White', while the production quantity of other varieties reached 107,920 quintals.
