The President of the National Agency for Hydrocarbon Valorization, Samir Bakhti, announced that the opening of bids for the 'Algeria Bid Round 2026' will take place on April 26, and will cover seven areas designated for hydrocarbon exploration, as part of a competitive process extending until November 26, 2026. Samir Bakhti explained during his appearance on the 'Guest of the Morning' program on the first radio channel that this round targets significant energy potential, with total resources in the offered areas estimated at around 1.8 billion barrels of oil and 8.63 billion cubic meters of gas, in addition to reserves estimated at 239 million barrels of oil and 19 billion cubic meters of gas.
