A new fee of 200 DZD on the technical inspection for the installation and testing of 'GPLC' systems for motorcycles between 1,000 and 10,000 DZD depending on the type of certification and compliance. The General Directorate of Taxes has specified the categories of vehicles exempt from the vehicle fee and those subject to it, with a precise determination of the tax situation for vehicles equipped with gas systems, which have become one of the most popular options in the Algerian market in recent years, especially the liquefied petroleum gas system 'GPLC' that is widely used by drivers and represents the largest portion of converted vehicles, compared to the relatively limited spread of the compressed natural gas system (GNC) which is often associated with institutional or company cars.
