First trucks and buses of 'Sokun' to be launched next August

A representative from the assembly plant for heavy and light trucks, and 'Sokun' buses in Algeria announced on Monday the launch of the first batch for assembling trucks and buses of this brand during the upcoming month of August. The spokesperson for 'Sokun', a joint Algerian-Chinese company, stated that the first vehicle will roll out at the end of August 2026 from its assembly plant located in the Zana Al-Bayda activity area, in the Seryana district, Batna province, after the installation of the first production line, which has completed the necessary equipment, while waiting for the completion of two other production lines that have advanced significantly in studies. The plant is expected to produce 60,000 trucks and buses for passenger transport annually, while employing 450 people in the first phase, with the workforce expected to increase.
