In its monthly report published on its official website, the FAO stated that the global index reached 128.5 points in March. This represents an increase of 2.4 percent compared to last February. This is mainly due to the rise in wheat prices (4.3 percent) amid the possibility of American crops being affected by drought.

Béjaïa Port has set a new record in handling bulk cargo, unloading 15,153.60 tons of corn within 24 hours, in an operation conducted directly from the ship to the trucks, according to the Béjaïa Port Authority (EPB).
