The price of gold fell today, Friday, due to the rise of the dollar, continuing to achieve gains for the third consecutive week. The price of gold in spot transactions dropped by 0.1 percent to $4759.54 per ounce, yet the metal recorded a gain of 1.8 percent since the beginning of the week. U.S. gold futures for June delivery fell by 0.7 percent to $4782.70. As for other precious metals, silver rose in spot transactions by 0.9 percent to $75.74 per ounce, while platinum lost two percent to $2061.06, and palladium dropped by 1.2 percent to $1539.43.
