Medahi Chairs Evaluation Meeting for the 2025-2026 Desert Tourism Season

The Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industry, Houria Medahi, chaired an evaluation meeting for the 2025-2026 desert tourism season this Saturday in Algiers, which included sector directors from various southern provinces and was dedicated to presenting the activity report and evaluating the recorded indicators, amid rising dynamics. In this context, the minister revealed that the number of tourists who visited the southern provinces between January and December 2025 reached about 750,000, including nearly 65,000 foreign tourists, while the 2025-2026 season, extending from October 2025 to April 2026, recorded approximately 470,000 tourists, including about 47,000 foreign tourists.
