The Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Mourad Adjali, oversaw the launch of the project to construct an electricity generation plant in the municipality of El Ouenat in the Tebessa province, which is considered the second largest facility of its kind at the national level with a production capacity of 1406.017 MW, in a step aimed at enhancing the national electricity system and meeting the increasing demand for energy. This strategic plant, which spans an area of 40 hectares in the 'Aarqoub Al-Asfar' region, is expected to bring about a qualitative leap in the energy sector by supporting electricity supply security and keeping pace with the developmental dynamics the country is witnessing, in addition to improving the energy infrastructure at the national level.
