The percentage of connection to drinking water distribution networks in Algeria has reached 98%, while the connection rate to sanitation networks has reached 93%, with the operation of 234 wastewater treatment plants with a total capacity estimated at 1.1 billion cubic meters annually, according to the Minister of Water Resources, Lounes Bouzguza.
