Gold prices decline in early trading

Gold prices declined in early trading on Tuesday, with spot gold falling by 0.7 percent to $4537.54 per ounce, while U.S. gold futures for June delivery rose by 0.3 percent to $4538.50. As for other precious metals, silver fell in spot trading by 1.8 percent to $76.66 per ounce, platinum lost 0.9 percent of its value to reach $1950.70, and palladium decreased by 1.1 percent to $1382.42.
