Bouzguza calls for the expansion of irrigation using treated water and enhancing the digitization of the sector

The Minister of Water Resources, Lounes Bouzguza, emphasized the necessity of continuing to expand irrigation areas by gradually relying on treated water, in implementation of the directives of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aimed at enhancing water and food security and preserving traditional water resources. The minister's statements came during a work and inspection visit yesterday, Sunday, to the headquarters of the National Office for Irrigation and Drainage, where he listened to a detailed presentation on the office's activities and work programs, especially regarding the management and operation of irrigation and drainage facilities, along with various projects and operations aimed at improving performance and elevating service quality.
