Algeria is hosting today, Wednesday, the proceedings of the fifth ministerial meeting of the steering committee for the Trans-Saharan Gas Pipeline (TSGP) project, with the participation of the ministers of hydrocarbons and energy from Algeria, Nigeria, and Niger, as part of the ongoing coordination and consultation regarding one of the most prominent strategic energy projects on the African continent. According to a statement from the relevant ministry, the meeting will include the Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons, Mohamed Arkab, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources in charge of gas in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ikperekpe Ikpo, the Minister of Petroleum of the Republic of Niger, Hamadou Tini, along with the CEO of SONATRACH, Nourredine Daoudi, and officials from the Nigerian company 'NNPC' and other partners.
