Completion of Planting 100 Hectares of Olive Trees in the Meda and Ksar el-Bahari Regions

The Forestry Directorate in Médéa has completed a program to plant 100 hectares of olive trees across 17 municipalities in the Médéa and Ksar el-Bahari regions within two months, achieving a completion rate of 100 percent for the 2026 agricultural season, according to the directorate. Hamza Iskander, head of the Forest Heritage Valorization Department, stated, as reported by the Algerian News Agency, that the program allocated for the Forestry Directorate in Médéa has been fully completed, following the start of planting works at the beginning of May, as part of efforts to develop the olive sector and expand planted areas.
