The Ministry of Internal Trade and National Market Control categorically denied the information circulating on some social media platforms regarding the high levels of nitrate in the red watermelon 'dalla', confirming that these claims are not based on any scientific or reference basis. The ministry explained that it has tasked laboratories of the Algerian Center for Quality Control and Packaging, which is affiliated with it, to conduct laboratory analyses on several samples of red watermelon, taken from various production basins of this fruit and from wholesale markets for fruits and vegetables belonging to Magro across several provinces of the country.
