The Algerian group SONATRACH and the Algerian Fertilizer Company signed two contracts today, Wednesday in Algiers, in the fields of engineering and construction with the Italian company 'Saipem' and the Chinese port engineering company 'CHC', as part of the implementation of the first phase of the integrated phosphate project. The signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of SONATRACH's general management, in the presence of several government members, the CEO of SONATRACH Noureddine Daoudi, as well as the ambassadors of Italy and China in Algeria, and officials from the signing companies. The first phase of the project includes the construction of major industrial and port facilities, including a complex for the extraction and enrichment of phosphate in the region of El Hadba in the Tebessa province, with an extraction capacity of 5.5 million tons.
