Mohand Bourai assumed his duties as the new Governor of the 'Bank of Algeria' on Thursday, September 3, succeeding Mohamed Lamine Labo who moved to the Ministry of Finance as part of the recent cabinet reshuffle, in a ceremony overseen by Labo himself, in implementation of the President's mandate. Bourai, who until September held the position of General Manager of the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank 'Badr', confirmed his commitment to work with various stakeholders in the banking and financial sector to keep pace with the economic activity in the country.
