Timimoun Project Leads Expansion of Agricultural Cooperation Between Algeria and Italy

Algeria and Italy are moving towards expanding cooperation in the agricultural sector, from supplying equipment to establishing integrated production and industrial projects, led by the 'BF' Group project in Timimoun with an investment value of nearly 420 million euros. The company is preparing to start a new wheat planting in October, targeting the reclamation of about 24 hectares out of a total of 36 hectares included in the initiative. Bruno Santorelli, General Director of 'BF Algeria' project, told the Italian news agency 'Nova' that the joint venture, established in 2024 between the Italian 'BF' Group and the Algerian National Investment Fund with shares of 51 percent and 49 percent respectively, has entered its second agricultural season, confirming its progress according to the schedule.
