The Wilaya of Chlef aims to produce more than one million quintals of various types of grains during the agricultural season 2026/2027, supported by the expansion of cultivated areas to 65,000 hectares, compared to about 60,000 hectares during the previous season, according to the Directorate of Agricultural Services. The sector director, Mehdi Guaderia, stated in a statement to the Algerian News Agency that increasing the area allocated to the grain sector is part of efforts to enhance agricultural production and improve productivity, noting the mobilization of the necessary material and human resources to ensure the success of the plowing and sowing campaign.
