A permanent committee has been established under the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, tasked with monitoring and processing import requests, pursuant to executive decree 26/327 issued in the latest issue of the official gazette. The committee, chaired by the minister responsible for foreign trade or his representative, consists of the Minister of Finance or his representative, the Governor of the Bank of Algeria or his representative, the President of the Professional Association of Banks and Financial Institutions or his representative, and the President of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council or his representative, according to the executive decree signed by the Prime Minister Mr. Saifi Ghrib.
Oil prices rose at settlement yesterday, Wednesday. Brent crude futures increased by 37 cents or 0.35% to reach $106.06 per barrel at settlement. West Texas Intermediate crude contracts rose by 95 cents or 1.01% to reach $95.09 per barrel.
