The Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea to Algeria, Min Kyung-tae, confirmed that economic cooperation between the two countries is trending upwards, noting that Algeria has become, during the first half of 2026 for the first time, the largest supplier of naphtha to South Korea with a share of 17.2 percent, emphasizing that 'energy represents the beginning of cooperation between the two countries and not its end.'
