U.S. crude oil and distillate inventories fell last week, while gasoline stocks rose. The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported Thursday that crude oil inventories fell by 8.6 million barrels to 415.6 million barrels for the week ending October 9, adding that crude oil inventories at the Cushing distribution hub in Oklahoma rose by 1.9 million barrels during the week.
