Dr. Ahmed El Haidousi, a professor of economic sciences, revealed that the number of agricultural investors in Algeria is about 1.2 million, with approximately 70% of them residing in the northern part of the country on small areas ranging from 4 to 8 hectares per farmer, while areas in the south exceed 10,000 hectares per investor. El Haidousi stated during his appearance today, Wednesday, on the program 'Guest of the Morning' on the first radio channel that this disparity in areas and the need to enhance productivity has led the state to adopt the option of agricultural cooperatives, which is an economic strategy aimed at enhancing agricultural production and achieving integration among farmers in the stages of planting, harvesting, and marketing, especially during crisis periods.
