The Algerian Saharan blend recorded an average price of $118.49 per barrel during September 2026, an increase of 26% compared to August, ranking first among the most expensive crude oils listed in the basket of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), according to the organization's monthly report. The Algerian crude surpassed Libyan Esider crude, which averaged $117.49 per barrel, and Emirati Murban crude at $115.39, while Saudi Arabian light crude recorded $109.02 per barrel.
