
Algeria captures 34.7% of Spanish gas imports
Algeria's gas supplies to Spain reached 10.313 terawatt-hours in August 2026, making it the second largest supplier to the Spanish market with a share of 34.7% of total imports, according to recent data obtained by the specialized energy platform from Inagas. According to the data, Algerian supplies were divided between 9.897 terawatt-hours of natural gas and 0.416 terawatt-hours of liquefied gas, while Spain's total imports of natural and liquefied gas amounted to about 29.75 terawatt-hours during the month, according to the same data.
