Criminal records under scrutiny.. and the integrity requirement returns strongly to purify the accounting profession, curbing the activities of the parallel market.. and providing more credible reports on investment. The National Chamber of Accountants has begun implementing decisive measures to cleanse the accounting profession, by tightening control over the integrity requirement, imposing mandatory training, and reactivating the follow-up of criminal records, as part of a comprehensive reset that closes loopholes and restores discipline to the sector. These steps are part of an accelerated process to expedite Algeria's exit from the gray list of the Financial Action Task Force “FATF”, by establishing more transparent financial reports that enhance investment attractiveness and contribute to absorbing funds from the parallel market into legitimate channels.
