SONATRACH has raised the official selling prices of liquefied petroleum gas for August by between 19 and 23 percent, amid rising prices driven by increased demand in global markets, according to Reuters citing traders. The agency reported that SONATRACH raised the official selling price of propane by $100 per ton to reach $540 per ton, and raised the price of butane by $90 per ton to reach $570 per ton. Oil prices rose by more than one percent at settlement yesterday, marking the largest monthly increase since March. Brent crude futures increased by $1.09, or 1.2 percent, to $90.12 per barrel.
