Algeria captures 20% of African hydrogen demand after consumption grows 4 times
Hydrogen demand in Africa surged by over 72% between 2012 and 2024, reaching 3.1 million tons, compared to 1.8 million tons 12 years ago, with Algeria ranking second in Africa with a share of 20% of total demand, behind Egypt which captured 49%.
