
21,000 investment projects worth $70 billion boost the growth of the Algerian economy
The President of the Algerian Confederation of Employers-Citizens, Souheil Qssoum, revealed on Monday that Algeria has recorded about 21,000 investment projects with a total value of nearly $70 billion since the new investment law came into effect in 2022, confirming that these indicators reflect a real improvement in the business climate and support economic growth that has exceeded 3%, with a target to raise it to more than 5% during the next phase. Qssoum explained, during his appearance on the 'Guest of the Morning' program on Algeria's first radio channel, that the national economy is witnessing increasing activity driven by reforms related to investment, export, and diversifying sources of income away from hydrocarbons.
