The Gara Djebilet mine (Tindouf Province, Western Algeria) witnessed the implementation of an explosive blasting operation for iron ore extraction on Friday. According to a statement by the National Company for Iron and Steel (Ferarl), a subsidiary of the public group (Sonarm), the operation was carried out under the supervision of the National Office for Explosives. The statement highlighted that the operation, the first of its kind in terms of quantity, was carried out in good conditions.
