Jalawi directs to expedite the works of the highway access road Djendjen–El Eulma

The Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure, Abdelkader Jalawi, chaired a coordination meeting this Saturday morning at the ministry's headquarters, dedicated to monitoring the progress of the Djendjen–El Eulma highway access road project over a distance of 110 km, as part of the follow-up on major strategic projects in the sector. According to a statement from the ministry, during the meeting, which is part of the preparations for the meeting scheduled for this week with construction companies and consulting offices, the pace of work progress on various sections of the project was reviewed, and the extent of field progress was evaluated.

The Ministry of Internal Trade and Regulation of the National Market is working to find suitable real estate and technical alternatives to implement the project for establishing a new wholesale market for foodstuffs in the capital as soon as possible, within a participatory approach aimed at transferring the activity to an organized space that meets legal, engineering, health, and security requirements, and is subject to the invoicing and financial tracking system, as confirmed by Minister Amel Abdel Latif. The minister explained during a public session in the Council of the Nation dedicated to oral questions that this project is part of the effort to restructure the national distribution system, combat the parallel economy, and enhance food security, noting that a real estate site in Bir Touta municipality had been proposed for its establishment.
