The Court of Auditors recorded some irregularities in its study of the preliminary draft of the budget settlement law for the year 2023, including contributions granted by the Ministry of Industry to public enterprises with an industrial and commercial nature and other public bodies, in the absence of a contractual framework defining the obligations of public service and the conditions for monitoring and evaluating it, contrary to what is stipulated in Article 21 of Executive Decree No. 21-62 and Instruction No. 10 of 2008. The Court of Auditors also criticized the lack of accompanying funding requests with legal specifications, as it was found that budgetary contribution requests were not accompanied by general specifications that clearly outline the obligations imposed on the beneficiary enterprises in exchange for public funding.

The Association of Banks and Financial Institutions revealed in an official correspondence, dated January 5, 2026, and numbered 44/2026, new guidelines for banks operating in Algeria regarding the monitoring of import operations.
