Aquaculture: National production will double during the current year

The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Yassine Walid, highlighted today, Thursday in Algiers, the dynamism of aquaculture activities in the country, which is expected to double the production of this sector to reach 20,000 tons by the end of the current year (2026). This was during a national meeting chaired by the minister in the presence of officials from the General Directorate of Fisheries and Aquaculture at the ministry, representatives of the Algerian Chamber of Fisheries and Aquaculture, as well as heads of chambers and professionals in the fisheries and aquaculture sector.
