Algerian gas production rises to 8.45 billion cubic meters

Algeria's natural gas production recorded an increase of 7.1 percent in April 2026, reaching 8.447 billion cubic meters, an increase of over 560 million cubic meters compared to the same month in 2025, while exports rose to 3.937 billion cubic meters, supported by increased gas flows through pipelines. Data from the Energy Research Unit showed that Algerian production rose from 7.885 billion cubic meters in April 2025 to 8.447 billion cubic meters in April 2026, equivalent to an average of 9.9 billion cubic feet per day compared to 9.3 billion cubic feet per day a year earlier.
